Skinny tips for eating on the go
One of the eating habits I've learned is to eat more protein (keeps you full longer) and healthy carbs (whole wheat anything). My key to my weight maintenance is to eat healthy 90 percent of the time, don't deprive yourself of an occasional high calorie meal,read the nutrition facts/labels and of course stay active! I have an on-the-go job.. I'm a flight attendant, so it's very difficult to eat healthy sometimes. It is possible though, you just have to plan ahead and read nutrition labels. For instance yesterday I had an hour in between flights so I had time to grab a bite to eat at the airport. An on the go (pre-packaged) Cobb salad was my pick. It had grilled chicken,hard boiled egg,bacon bits,blue cheese chunks and mini tomatoes on romaine lettuce. Romaine lettuce has nutritional value versus plain lettuce has none.The dressing was a fat free raspberry vinaigrette. I didn't eat the cheese, I had some bacon pieces and used the dressing sparingly. For dinner I had Progresso Light Soup. Below is my view flying into Des Moines...
